Unearthing the Root Causes

His practitioner quickly identified the likely culprits behind John’s neck pain. She explained that it was likely due to a combination of factors, including poor posture, muscle imbalances, and the stresses associated with his demanding profession. John felt both relieved and hopeful knowing that his condition could be addressed with a systematic approach.

A Holistic Treatment Plan

His practitioner wasted no time in designing a personalized treatment plan for John. She emphasized that the goal wasn’t just to alleviate immediate pain but to provide a sustainable, holistic solution. The plan included various components focused on correcting posture, strengthening specific muscle groups, and reducing tension through targeted manual therapy.

  • Hands-On Therapy: One of the key components of John’s treatment plan was hands-on therapy sessions. His practitioner used techniques such as joint mobilizations, soft tissue techniques, and precise stretching to provide immediate relief.
  • Targeted Exercises for Lasting Results: Understanding that lasting relief depended on addressing root causes, John’s practitioner introduced a series of targeted exercises. These exercises aimed to strengthen his neck and upper back muscles while correcting contributing imbalances. Emphasizing consistency and proper form, she ensured John was equipped to continue exercises at home.

In just a few sessions, John began to see progress in his recovery journey. The persistent neck pain that had tormented him gradually subsided. He noticed significant improvements in his posture and regained confidence in his body’s healing abilities. His practitioner remained a dedicated source of guidance and motivation, adjusting the treatment plan as needed.

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 ½pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 6 thighs)
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls
Slaw
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 head green cabbage (about 6 cups), shredded
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced

Directions:

  1. In the bowl of an Instant Pot, combine the barbecue sauce, water, vinegar, soy sauce and smoked paprika. Add the chicken thighs, mixing to coat thoroughly.
  2. Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 20 minutes, followed by a quick release of the sealing valve.
  3. Meanwhile, make the slaw: in a large bowl, add the white vinegar, honey and salt. Whisk to combine until the honey and salt have dissolved. Add the shredded cabbage and onions to the bowl and toss to combine.
  4. After the pressure has released, transfer the chicken to a medium bowl. Turn the Instant Pot to the sauté function on low and reduce the barbecue sauce until thick, about 10 minutes.
Shred the chicken with the tines of a fork. Place the shredded chicken in the pot and toss with the sauce.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches on the slider buns with pulled chicken and slaw.
