Celebrating 10 Years With Our Community
Ten years ago, Leaps & Bounds Performance Rehabilitation began with a simple vision: to create a space where people felt supported, cared for, and empowered throughout their recovery and wellness journey.
We’re still a small clinic, but we’ve grown into something far greater than we could have imagined — a truly incredible community.
Over the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life: elite athletes and performing artists, spirited dancers and just beginners, individuals with physically demanding jobs, and retired weekend warriors.
No matter where someone starts, our mission has always remained the same: to help people recover faster, perform better, and stay in the game.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also want to recognize the incredible team members, past and present, who have contributed their passion, energy, and expertise to the clinic over the years. Leaps & Bounds would not be what it is today without them.
Join Our 10-Year Celebration
To celebrate 10 years, we’re excited to host a special community event on Sunday, May 31, featuring movement, connection, wellness, and community giveback initiatives that reflect the values that have guided us from the beginning.
Thank you for being part of our story. We’re excited for what the next chapter will bring.

Supporting Wellspring Cancer Support GTA
As part of our 10-year anniversary celebration, we’re proud to be supporting Wellspring Cancer Support GTA, specifically the Oakville location, an organization that provides vital support, resources, and programs for individuals and families affected by cancer.
We’ve had the privilege of working with patients navigating cancer diagnoses and recovery journeys — some who have successfully overcome tremendous challenges, and others whose battles ended far too soon.
Beyond the clinic walls, cancer has also personally impacted people close to our team, our families, and our friends.
Because of these experiences, supporting Wellspring feels deeply meaningful to us. Their work helping individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult moments reflects the same sense of care, community, and support that we strive to provide every day at Leaps & Bounds.
Two Special Fundraising Initiatives
To help support their incredible work within our community, we’ll be launching two special fundraising initiatives connected to our anniversary event:
10-Year Anniversary Apparel
We’ll be releasing a limited-edition collection of Leaps & Bounds anniversary t-shirts, hoodies, and caps to celebrate this milestone with our community.
Community Fundraising Raffle
We’ll also be hosting a special fundraising raffle featuring a Buffalo Bills game and tailgate experience package for four, including a parking pass (approximate value: $1,600).

What Leaps & Bounds Means To Our Community
We’ve reached out to patients, former LABs team members, and students to share reflections on what Leaps & Bounds means to them and what they believe the clinic means to the community.
These stories reflect the mentorship, collaboration, care, and sense of family that have shaped the clinic over the past decade.
“Whoever you are — a student, staff member, or patient — you are nurtured and treated like one of their own.”

When searching for a clinic, I wanted more than just a workplace — I wanted trustworthy leadership, strong administrative systems, and a team I could learn and grow with. At Leaps & Bounds, I’ve found all of that and more.
Pat and Carolina, the clinic owners, have a genuine interest in their practitioners and their careers. They foster open discussion about cases, create outreach opportunities, and generously share their knowledge and resources.
With their support, I’ve been able to grow my chiropractic practice while also gaining incredible experiences treating professional performers, from dancers of Ballet Jörgen to cast and crew members of productions like Peter Pan and Mamma Mia!
Our front desk team — led by Michelle — is exceptional. They manage the administrative complexities with ease, reducing stress for practitioners while ensuring patients feel welcomed and cared for.
Petar Grkinic, PT
I started off my career working at Leaps & Bounds, and honestly I have to say, it was one of the best experiences.
I never thought that I would get so lucky right out of school with a clinic that felt so wholesome, caring, and supportive.
Pat & Carol were incredible mentors and in just a couple of years, they inspired me to always continue learning, think of the patient first, and showed me what a work “family” really looks like.
Jordie Currie, PT
My experience at LABs was a very special one. In 2017, I had the privilege of being the first-ever student at the clinic.
Not only did my clinical and professional learnings from both Carol and Pat help jumpstart my career, the environment they created at LABs is something truly special.
Whoever you are — a student, staff member, or patient — you are nurtured and treated like one of their own.
This is what truly sets LABs apart — it’s not just a business. It is a place for people to receive the highest quality, specialized care, while becoming a part of the LABs family.
Nadia Colavecchio, RRT
(Rehab Asst, Customer Service Rep, 2016 – 2020)
I have been a part of the Leaps and Bounds community for the past ten years, since their opening, both as an employee and now more recently as a patient.
My time at Leaps & Bounds has been one of the most rewarding opportunities in my life, and honestly the best job I have ever had.
As an employee navigating my career path, LABs provided a positive and exceptional work environment where the team genuinely supported one another. That strong sense of community was felt not only by staff, but by every patient who walked through the doors.
The therapists collaborate seamlessly, highlighting each person’s strengths to create truly holistic and individualized care. Every appointment feels personal, genuine, and focused on the patient rather than a standardized model.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the amazing experiences, memories, and lifelong relationships this clinic has given me over the years. Leaps & Bounds has greatly shaped who I am today as both a person and a healthcare professional.
Daniella Preston
Co-op Student, 2023
Congratulations on 10 amazing years!
My family and I have been coming to the clinic for many years, and everyone on the team has always been incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely caring toward their patients.
The clinic also had a huge impact on me personally when I completed my high school co-op placement there. The experience inspired me to pursue a future in physiotherapy and healthcare.
Learning from such passionate and caring professionals strengthened my interest in the field and showed me what compassionate care truly looks like.
A special thank you to Pat and Carol for being such incredible therapists and role models, and to Michelle at the front desk for always being so warm and welcoming.

Our Patients Are Getting Results
“I’ve known Andrew for many years, and he has always been exceptional. He’s patient, professional, and truly passionate about what he does. When I dislocated a toe during a soccer game, he stayed calm in a painful situation and immediately knew how to handle it. More recently, he’s helped me recover from meniscus surgery, and the results from his post-surgery treatment have been outstanding. I strongly recommend Leaps and Bounds—and Andrew in particular—for anyone looking for high-quality care.” – Jeremy

Recipe of the Month: Salmon Taco Bowls

Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz) wild salmon filets
- ½ tablespoon olive oil
- ½ lime, juiced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- ¾ tsp cumin
- ¾ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- Ground black pepper
- 2 tsp of olive oil
- ¼ c very finely diced yellow onion
- ¼ c diced green pepper
- ¼ c finely diced cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ c tomato sauce
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp coriander
- ¼ tsp ground turmeric
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cs water
- ¾ c uncooked white rice
- avocado, sliced
- Greek yogurt
- Salsa or hot sauce
- Cilantro
- Diced green onion
- Lime wedges
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment/foil and lightly grease.
- Place salmon skin-side down, drizzle with olive oil and lime juice. Mix seasoning (sugar, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, pepper) and rub evenly over salmon.
- Set aside. For rice: heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onion, green pepper, cilantro, and garlic for 2–4 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; simmer 2 minutes. Add water, bring to a boil, stir in rice, cover, and cook on low 15–20 minutes until tender.
- Remove from heat, fluff, cover, and steam 10 minutes. While rice steams, bake salmon for 15–20 minutes (about 16–18 is ideal) until it flakes easily.
- Serve rice in bowls, top with salmon, and add avocado, Greek yogurt, cilantro, salsa or hot sauce, green onion, and lime wedges.
